Lark Funding: Keep 3-Step and 1-Step Max Loss Models Separate
Lark Funding's public help centre describes different rule sets for its 3-Step Evaluation and 1-Step Max programme. This 24 October 2026 guide compares selected definitions rather than treating one percentage or margin setting as a universal Lark rule. It does not review every programme or declare an account compliant.

Select the programme before calculating a floor
The reviewed 3-Step article defines a maximum loss threshold at 5% of the initial balance and describes no daily loss limit for that evaluation. The 1-Step Max article defines a 12% maximum static threshold together with a separate 5% daily loss rule and a 1% per-trade-setup loss limit.
These definitions belong to different named programmes. A wider static limit does not erase another limit, and an absence of a daily limit on the selected 3-Step evaluation does not imply an absence of all risk conditions.
An original starting-balance comparison
Using a fictional starting balance of 100,000, a threshold 5% below the starting value is 95,000. A threshold 12% below the same value is 88,000. These calculations illustrate two static definitions; they are not a quote, a provider allocation or a personal available-risk allowance.
A margin-mode label such as isolated or cross does not select which of those programme definitions applies. The account agreement and selected product determine the relevant rule set. Keep the static reference with the programme name rather than choosing whichever floor makes a past trade appear acceptable.
| Selected definition | Arithmetic illustration | Other fields still needed |
|---|---|---|
| 3-Step static threshold | 100,000 − 5,000 = 95,000 | All applicable evaluation conditions |
| 1-Step Max static threshold | 100,000 − 12,000 = 88,000 | Daily and per-setup rules |
| Daily reference | Use the applicable balance and clock | Not a margin-mode inference |
| Setup treatment | Keep evaluation/funded stage explicit | Not one shared breach allowance |
Daily and setup rules use additional records
The selected 1-Step Max text ties its daily percentage to the balance at its stated 5 pm EST reference. Its setup-loss section distinguishes evaluation-stage soft-breach treatment from funded-stage treatment, where the first occurrence is described as a hard breach. Do not carry an evaluation allowance into the funded stage.
A review needs the relevant stage, balance reference, setup grouping and provider clock as separate fields. This article does not reproduce all breach exceptions, restart conditions, market restrictions, fees or reward rules. No trade, reset, account or eligibility decision was tested.
Compare another programme using the same definitions
A useful comparison lists initial static reference, daily reference and per-setup treatment in separate columns. For a Singapore journal, retain the source's stated clock and actual date rather than silently substituting a local day. A localised article is not proof of local account acceptance.
The optional HashHedge invitation below concerns another programme. Lark limits, stage treatment or a simulated result do not transfer through that link. Check the destination's current conditions before choosing whether to register.
